Taeniopygia castanotis

The Zebra Finch has to be my first post here. It is my favorite bird since I used to keep them for many years. My interest in Zebra Finches were the original reason to go to Australia on my first trip and therefore they helped expose me to many other wonderful birds and other experiences.

The photos here were taken in 2006 in Australia’s Northern Territory at a rest stop near Barkly Homestead.
